Played twice on the new blades it took a bit to trust the turns but last game I felt more agile and evasive in my skating

Benefits: Tighter more firm turns both directions and still good speed on burst

Disadvantages: None so far except my knee feels a bit worse after playing lately could be I am playing more aggressively

The blades are fantastic. I had Step Steel Black that I have been skating on for the last 4 years and these hold an edge much longer. I have had no trouble sharpening them on my Sparks. I went from a 1/2 inch grind to a 5/8 and am considering going even flatter. The steel is of great quality although not light. I will take the tradeoff. XCBlade was great in handling the order. They shipped quickly, the only problem was FedEx who lost the order. I contacted XCBlade and they immediately shipped out a new pair. I had originally ordered a different blade, but they were out of those and refunded me the difference. Time will tell how the parabolic shape affects my skating. I was confident enough after on practice to skate in my men's league game the following Sunday.

Benefits: Outstanding steel Quality, great customer service

Disadvantages: heavy, no US distributors yet and you have to pay Duty...

I never leave reviews but these were excellent and I think they should be more widely adopted. Fast shipping and good customer service as well. Had no issues with sharpening.

Benefits: Immediately noticed an improvement in tight turns, crossovers, and acceleration out of turns. The biggest surprise to me was crossovers; you really feel like you have more blade on the ice when pushing under on your outside edge.

Disadvantages: None really. I guess they're slightly heavier than a traditional blade, but the cut outs in the design help mitigate that

Profiling

Every XCBlade skate blade is factory-profiled with our developed Synthesized Penta Radius Profile Spline (SPRPS). This universal SPRPS profile, created based on player feedback, is formed from five different radii, offering the best combination of turning and gliding compared to other traditional profiles.

We apply this profile to all our blades during production, so you only need to sharpen them (ROH - Radius of Hollow), whereas our competitors sell their blades without profiling. But if you purchase the sharpening service, you will receive a pair of race-ready (RTR - Ready To Race) blades.
